Verb + Object + Preposition

We know that different verbs in English have different patterns. Therefore, in today’s episode we are going to talk about verb + object + preposition. To be able to use this pattern correctly, you just have to familiarize yourself with the following list.

  3. Everybody blamed me for the accident.
  4. She had to borrow some money from her friend.
  5. The men have been arrested and charged with robbery.
  6. I congratulated him on his success.
  7. The doctor cured my father of that contagious disease.
  8. The book is divided into three parts.
  9. Our economic situation is getting worse and worse. The government has to do something about it.
  10. Can you explain this word to me ?
  11. Have you been invited to any parties recently?
  12. I haven’t seen Jane since she left home for work this morning.
  13. Don’t point that knife at me! It’s dangerous.
  14. We prefer rice to bread.
  15. We have to word hard to protect our women from being abused overseas.
  16. Our parents provide us with everything we need.
  17. I will always regard her as one of my best friends.
  18. That girl reminds me of my ex-girlfriend.

Choose the correct preposition provided.
