Noun + Preposition Exercises

Exercise I

Complete the following sentences with correct preposition.

  1. What’s the advantage …. making this place popular?
  2. Her desire …. jewelry has made her husband run away.
  3. Stop it John. Don’t make arguments ….. your little sister.
  4. This outbreak has made the relationship ….. the two countries better.
  5. Don’t let your children play games too much. Otherwise, their addiction… the game is worrying.
  6. The teacher is trying to make a better approach …. the naughty boy.
  7. There’s been a lot of concern …… the club’s activity during the night.
  8. The damage …. the lungs cannot be recovered.
  9. I have difficulty …. doing this exercise.
  10. Most people in the village have heard the story ….. the ghost in that haunted house.

Exercise II

Complete the second sentence based on the first sentence ! They will have the same meaning. Example : They are trying to solve the problem. They are trying to find a solution to the problem.
  1. No-one wants to buy this kind of bag anymore. There is no demand ……………………………

  3. Prices have increased a lot.  There has been a big increase ……………..
